Pulls you in!
Mystery at Chilmark has all the makings of a good read for me! Who doesn’t love a rescue dog, the ocean, a lost family fortune and the supernatural! Diane has a way with words and has the ability to pull one into the story. I look forward to her next book!

“Mystery at Chilmark” follows Kat as she explores her family history and finds a spiritual connection with an ancestor. Dianne Hunt Smith’s descriptions thoroughly flesh-out Kat’s hometown with charming imagery while simultaneously explaining the history of Kat’s ancestors. The book ultimately centers around Chilmark, and allows Kat to engage with her childhood surroundings while also uncovering several mysteries. The story keeps a good pace, allowing Kat to find just enough clues to keep the readers in anticipation.

The story has a personal feel to it. It confines the overall plot to just a few characters and settings, making it feel focused and intimate. The contrast of natural and supernatural also feels new and refreshing, especially since Kat (after her initial surprise) takes each event in stride. The plot comes together full-circle by the end, concluding satisfactorily while also hinting at just enough to make readers want more. I’ll be looking forward to more mysteries from the Eye in the Sky series!

Mystery at Chilmark is an entertaining and well-written story that I truly enjoyed (even though supernatural occurrences isn’t something I normally read) and I became totally absorbed!

In Martha’s Vineyard, Kat is a strong woman who is not afraid to dive deeply into her family history and try to solve its dark secrets. Get ready for the supernatural!"

~"Mystery At Chilmark: An Eye In The Sky Mystery is an adventurous, exciting, magical, supernatural, mysterious, fun, and unique book! This story was a step outside of my comfort zone with the supernatural and mystery aspect, but I truly enjoyed it! It is a quick and engaging read! This book features a female mystery heroine named Kat. She is firce, kind-hearted, and has a special secret gift. I loved seeing the various sides of this character as she worked to uncover some mysterious family history and searched for a lost fortune. This book was super interesting with the family secrets, present day drama, and Martha's Vineyard setting. I also adored that this book included a sweet rescue dog companion! Dash was truly the cutest! Every brave heroine needs her puppy bff!"

~"I love a good mystery, and this book did not disappoint. As someone drawn to the supernatural, who also happens to love dogs, I found Mystery at Chilmark to be right up my alley. I don't want to give any spoilers so I won't share specifics, but I would recommend this novel to anyone who enjoys stories of lost fortune and the spiritual realm. I think it would also be fun for people who have been to Martha's Vineyard before, too!"
